For such a short hike, the payoff from taking Flatside Pinnacle Trail is spectacular! Head to the top of this rock outcrop for some of the best views in Arkansas. And, like any great hike in the Natural State, the road to get there is just as pretty as the trail too! Let’s take on this nature escape and take a peek from the peak!

This lovely scene is located west of Williams Junction in the Ouachita National Forest. Before we virtually hit the trail, let's take a look at the road to get there first.

The longest part of your Flatside Pinnacle journey will be the car ride, and thankfully it's just as beautiful as the trail! It's off of Scenic Highway 7, which connects to another must-see auto tour.
After you've taken the windy road, you just need to park and prepare for an uphill hike.

The Flatside Pinnacle Trail is a spur off of the much longer Ouachita Trail. This certainly isn't the only trail to trek when you're in the Flatside Wilderness so don't hesitate to research this area further to inspire a longer trip.
The trail to the top is uphill but manageable for most hikers.

The trail is only .7-miles long but does have a steep 200-ft. elevation gain to reach the top. That said, many families can accomplish this trek. Leashed dogs are welcomed here, too!
