I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
Arkansas is known for its many urban legends, creepy towns as well as abandoned buildings. Seeing some of these places and hearing the stories behind them has sent chills down my spine. I am not a fan of spooky or abandoned structures, but I know many of you are. So, if that’s your thing, I found an abandoned spot in Williford Arkansas that is eerily beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend visiting after dark. Morgan’s Mill is an old water wheel located on Martin Creek just east of the town of Hardy, and it’s one of the most eerily beautiful, abandoned places in Arkansas.
So, what do you think about this old mill in Arkansas? Would you visit after dark? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. Visit the Historical Marker Database website to learn more about the battle at Morgan’s Mill.
While you’re in the area, check out the charming town of Hardy, there are some abandoned places there as well. Also, if you would like to extend your visit, here’s an incredible bed and breakfast in Hardy that we recommend.
