I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
Perhaps you’ve read our previous article about the Indian Creek Trail at the Buffalo National River. But did you know that part of that trail is hiding a dark and terrifying secret? The Eye of the Needle is a jaw-dropping rock formation that looks like its namesake, and several people have died attempting to see it. Despite the trail being one of the most scenic treks inside the national park, it is also one of the most dangerous trails in Arkansas. And it attracts thousands of thrill seekers every year.
One thing is for sure, this trail is certainly not for the faint of heart. And if you decide to hike this rugged trail, be very careful because even expert hikers have run into many obstacles as they trekked.
So, have you hiked the Indian Creek Trail to see the Eye of the Needle? If so, do you agree that the trail is one of the most terrifying hikes in the Ozarks? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
