I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Sometimes, you just really want a good steak. Nothing else will do. Happily for Arkansans, The Natural State is home to some of the best steakhouses in the country, with restaurants like Doe’s Eat Place and The Dixie Pig dishing up perfect cuts of prime rib! There’s another steakhouse you need to add to your must-visit list, however, and that’s Colonial Steak House in Pine Bluff. Colonial Steak House is an old-school steakhouse in Arkansas serving some of the best steaks in The Natural State — with an unforgettable side of charm and ambiance.
Colonel Steak House opened in 1974, in a stately antebellum manor in downtown Pine Bluff.
In 1987, a fire destroyed the restaurant, and Colonial Steak House moved into the now-iconic Tudor-style building at the corner of 8th Street and Pine, where it's been ever since.
This is why Colonial Steak House continues to stand the test of time: this restaurant serves really, really good meat, in a winsome, old-school steakhouse.
