In Bentonville, Arkansas, a group of game lovers came together to create an oasis where family and friends can gather to enjoy a classic pastime: the board game.
At Board Game Knights, groups can pay a cover fee of $7 to secure a table and unlimited game time inside. For the very committed game lovers, monthly memberships are available starting at $20 for one month that provides unlimited visits.
"Our Team is a group of board game-loving teachers and team leaders that have noticed a need for connection and interaction between families and friends," The leadership at Board Game Knights writes. "Our aspirations are to bring people closer together through the medium of board games."
Games range in style from classics like Scrabble to more complex adventures like Settlers of Catan. The game library currently boasts more than 260 games and is always evolving as new adventures hit the market. The staff on site is well versed in the rules of each game so you don't have to get bogged down by the details.
Gamers are welcome to bring their own food and drinks in to snack on while flexing their competitive muscles. Board Game Knights does serve individually packaged pastries, chips, soda, and edible cookie dough.
Additionally, food trucks often park outside the building, offering local eats to gamers. Keep an eye on the Board Game Knights Facebook page to see what trucks will be on-site during your visit.
