I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.

It doesn’t get more iconic in Arkansas than catfish. Fried catfish, specifically. There’s something about the catfish in Arkansas that is just a cut above the rest. Easy to catch and abundant in The Natural State’s streams, lakes, and rivers, catfish is an Arkansas staple. Really, you’d be hard-pressed to find any self-respecting restaurant in Arkansas that doesn’t serve catfish in some form or another. It’s a major source of state pride, and we’ve found a hidden gem that not only dishes up some of the best fried catfish in Arkansas, but also offers an all-you-can-eat buffet of this crave-worthy fish.
Catfish Kitchen is an unassuming little restaurant in Van Buren, a town located right at the Arkansas/Oklahoma border.
The meals here are thoughtfully, beautifully prepared, elevating the humble catfish to something spectacular, as with their perfectly seasoned fillets.
But the main event is, of course, the buffet. Catfish Kitchen is known for being an all-you-can-eat catfish restaurant in Arkansas -- and they definitely give the people what they want.
In addition to literally endless portions of fried catfish, you'll also get a full spread of delicious side dishes -- beans, hush puppies, slaw, tomato relish, and pickles -- plus all-you-can-eat chicken tenders, fried shrimp, and french fries.
Because no proper southern meal is complete without dessert, definitely save room for pie. Catfish Kitchen has peach, apple, cherry, and chocolate -- but we're partial to the peach.
But be warned: after dining on Catfish Kitchen's delicious catfish and fare, you will most definitely have to return for the all-you-can-eat buffet.
We’re definitely craving fried catfish now, and luckily, we know just the place to visit. Did you know about this all-you-can-eat catfish restaurant in Arkansas? It’s definitely a must-visit spot in The Natural State. Learn more about Catfish Kitchen, including specials and hours, on their Facebook page.
