Located on the corner of 10th Street and Henderson Street on the campus of HSU in Arkadelphia is the Captain Henderson House.
The 9,000-square-foot mansion began as a quaint little cottage in 1876. It was then renovated in the early 1920s by its owner and the namesake of HSU, Charles Christopher Henderson, who was a prominent businessman.
In the years following, the historic house went through more additions as well as switched ownerships a few times. In 1979, this architectural wonder was sold to HSU. And the school used it as a museum, event venue, and as a bed and breakfast.
The wood finish in this Queen-Anne style home is truly magnificent. And of course, no stones were left unturned when it came to decorating the interior.
The suites are exquisite, and you can choose from a standard, a double or a king size room. All offering first-class amenities for your comfort.
