As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
For being such a tiny town we really never run out of good things to say about our favorite little gem, Jasper. Although we do love the nearby camping along the Buffalo National River, there’s one local hotel that’s absolutely worth a weekend away. The Arkansas House has treated Jasper visitors with true southern hospitality for nearly 90 years! Pick a room and get ready to relax in this historic Ozark retreat.
You only need to visit Jasper once to fall in love with this town!
It's one of those tiny towns you may not have heard of but after a visit, it'll be one of your favorite places for an Arkansas adventure. Turn your day trip into a weekend getaway by staying at this historic hotel - the Arkansas House.
The Arkansas House is comprised of a small hotel, the Salon, and two cabins.
The Arkansas House originally started off as a boarding house at the end of 1933 and later developed into a bed and breakfast. Although the House has undergone renovations throughout the years, the historic charm has stayed the same.

The charm comes from the attention to detail and homage to the past.
This is certainly not your typical chain motel! The common areas like the atrium and great room make the Arkansas House feel like classic B&B. Be sure to take time to slow down and enjoy your stay by perusing their library of rare books.
The rooms here are best suited for two guests (though a person or two can be added for an additional charge). The cozy rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay including WiFi!
If you're wanting the history of the House but with more seclusion than just a room, then book one of their nearby cabins.
The River Cabin and Jasper Creek Cabin are great for larger groups or anyone wanting a more spacious retreat. These cabins come with jacuzzi tubs and a full kitchen.
If you're wanting the comforts of a home away from home then book a weekend away at the Arkansas House!
The cozy amenities of the Arkansas House balances well with the numerous outdoor activities Jasper has to offer. You can pick which lodging is best for you and your travel buds by visiting the Arkansas House website.
