White River Creamery isn’t your typical dairy farm. You won’t find any cows to milk at this farm, tiny goats are hard at work instead! White River Creamery is the only licensed goat dairy farm in the entire state – baaa none! Let’s stop kidding around and head to this family farm.
This family farm in Elkins has had these bragging rights since opening in 2013. Scot McCormick learned the cheese making process at Vermont’s Institute of Artisan Cheese. From milking to packaging, the McCormicks conduct every portion of the cheese making process on the farm.

Over 100 goats make their home on the 15-acre pasture. Argus the dog helps shepherd the nannies around the farm and clearly takes pride in his work.

White River Creamery only uses Nigerian Dwarf goats for their cheese production. The goats are adorably small and have less milk than a full size breed; however, these goats have the highest percent of butterfat which makes for a creamier flavor.

White River Creamery has a booth at the Fayetteville, Eureka Springs, and Bentonville Farmers Markets. Their mouthwatering selection includes chèvre, fromage blanc, feta, and cheddar in a variety of flavors.
