Beckham Creek Cave Lodge, located in the Ozarks, is currently closed for reconstruction. Before then, it was a great place to host a wedding , a party, or just to have a weekend getaway. What makes the location so great? You can enjoy all these amenities while practically staying underground. While we’re still waiting on the lodging at Beckham Creek to re-open, there are some other awesome spots around Arkansas that are amazing for getting down low for exploring or partying.

If you stay underground a while long enough in the Old Spanish Treasure Cave outside of Sulphur Springs, you might actually find the legendary buried treasure there, now estimated at more than $40 million worth of gold. Much like the other beautiful caves and caverns in Arkansas, this location doesn't seem like such a bad hangout during the hot summer months.
Once summertime rolls around again in Arkansas you'll be ready to take a trip down (and I mean way down) into the cool of Bull Shoals Caverns. Not only is the temperature steady throughout the year, but the sheer beauty of the caverns will have you wishing for another trip down below as soon as possible.

Get your party on and wild out under the street instead of in the streets! Eureka Live Underground is a great place to get out and have fun with friends. The atmosphere here is so lively and friendly that you can show up by yourself and by the end of the night, you'll emerge from the depths of the party with a few new friends.

Cosmic Cavern in Berryville prides itself on being Arkansas's most beautifully decorated cave. If you've got a good enough imagination left over from your childhood, Cosmic Cavern is a great place to pretend you've got your own underworld kingdom (or queendom) with underground lakes that are said to be bottomless.
Weinkeller Restaurant in beautiful Weiderkehr Village is a marvelous restaurant made from a wine cellar. The cellar itself was hand dug in 1880 and converted into the beloved restaurant we know today. The authentic European food and Weiderkehr wine will make you want to stay down here a few days for sure.

If you've been to the River Market you've likely experienced the fun above ground at the Flying Saucer, but have you been where the real party is at downstairs? Located underground in the downtown part of the city, Levi's has an awesome staff and a menu with an excellent variety of options. Hugo's is a popular basement bar and grill in Fayetteville where friends can gather for drinks and dinner. Having been in business for almost 40 years, Hugo's has gathered enough regular customers who love the food and service there so much that they've created a second underground home for themselves.

Located in Harrison just south of Marble Falls, Mystic Caverns and its underground twin Crystal Dome Caverns take explorers on paths taken by the intrepid first settlers of the area. The absolute magnificence of the natural wonders in both caverns will take you away from the troubles of the world above and give you plenty of room to imagine an underground utopia of your own.
The beauty of Blanchard Springs Caverns is like the mythical underworlds you read about in fairy tales. Many Arkansans have taken multiple trips northwest of Mountain View near the small town of Fifty-Six to wander down to the caverns and experience the wonders of Wonderland Cave. The Mud Street Café in Eureka Springs is an award winning restaurant that's located below the charming Victorian-style streets. The café has a very artsy vibe and colorful interior; come try their coffee, entrees, and make room for dessert so you can see why Mud Street's won so many accolades. You won't want to leave once you've gotten settled in!
Naturally, no one expects you to really live underground–unless you’re a prepper or a survivalist. These locations do seem pretty fun to claim as your own personal hangout or domain though. Until Beckham Creek Lodge eventually reopens and we can actually spend some time living it up in the surroundings of cave luxury, at least we can take pleasure in getting down (literally and figuratively) in these places around Arkansas.
