The Stack Rock Scenic Area is about nine miles north of Richland, near Snowball. The drive to this area is not the easiest so be sure to use the maps here before heading out. Once you've arrived at Stack Rock you'll feel like you're on a different planet!
You'll feel rather small once you've reached the base of the towering formations.

These monoliths have an elevation near 2,000 feet! It's easy to see why this place rivals Sam's Throne for rock climbing adventures. Climbers have plenty of sport and traditional routes to explore and should use this site for more details.

The trail is right under three miles and is an out-and-back trek. It's rated as moderate and not recommended for young hikers. Towards the top of the mountain you'll want to take the path counterclockwise for the easiest scramble.
