Spring is in full swing here in the Natural State which means weekends can be filled with quick getaways and outdoor fun. We’ve compiled our favorite spring stops and events to make your season memorable. From aerial adventures to kayak parks, there’s a ton of fun places to go this spring.
1. Visit Eureka Springs in May.
Pick any day to visit Eureka Springs in May so you can help celebrate their month-long arts festival. The 31st Annual May Festival of the Arts begins with a parade on the 5th and multiple chances to see artists at work.

2. Pick your own berries this season.
The Cox Berry Farm in Clarksville is open now for strawberries. The pick-your-own farm has been facilitating sweet day trips for over 40 years. Look forward to picking blueberries and blackberries in June, too.

3. Pack a picnic and see some waterfalls.
While you're in Clarksville you might as well drive to the nearby Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area. The falls make the perfect backdrop for a berry-filled picnic and a short hike will take you to two neighboring falls as well.

4. Drive through a tunnel of trees.
The scenic drives in Arkansas are arguably the best in the nation. One particular highway was actually voted number two out of all North American routes. No matter if you're on a motorcycle or taking a family drive, the Pig Trail is a must-visit every season.

5. Have a riverside lunch.

6. Frolic through a field of wildflowers.
The Natural State is bursting with wildflowers during May and June. One particular field is completely covered in Blazing Star flowers. Part of the H.E. Flanagan Prairie Natural Area outside of Charleston, the field is perfect for a flower-powered hike or wildlife viewing.

7. Enjoy a paddle boat tour.
Arkansas' only island resort state park has recently added a fantastic paddle boat trail. The Islets Cove Paddle Trail at Lake DeGray is a three-mile loop that takes casual boaters around the north shore of the island. Besides just enjoying the scenery, the trail has multiple points of interest filled with historical tidbits.

8. Visit this enchanting fairy village.
Most people don't know that Arkansas has its own Fairy Trail. It's nestled in the Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs. The tiny village opened in 2014 and is positively magical.

9. Take a trolley ride through town.

13. Take to the trees at an aerial adventure course.
One of our favorite zipline parks just opened a new aerial adventure course. Adventureworks Hot Springs has 10 different lines to zip through the forests of Catherine's Landing. The newest rope course has 16 different elements including floating stumps and rock walls.
