Whether it’s calling the Hogs or traveling the Pig Trail, you can bet that all Arkansans have done these things at least once in their lives! It’s a Natural State thing; it can’t be helped!
6. Chowed down on EXCELLENT BBQ!
If you find someone who's heard of Arkansas but hasn't mentioned the barbecue - well, you've been having a conversation with the wrong person! Arkansas is known for having some of America's best barbecue joints and chefs.
5. Called the Hogs
Outsiders think it's a strange ritual, but Arkansans learn how to call them Hogs from Fayetteville to Fordyce right around the same time they learn how to walk. WOOOOOOO PIG SOOIE!
4. Seen the Glory of Arkansas' State Parks
Whether you're camping, hiking, or just on a scenic day trip, you can get great advice from Arkansans who have traveled the state and visited its many excellent state parks.
3. Taken Pictures on the Pig Trail in Autumn
This is an annual road trip for many native Arkansans who enjoy seeing the leaves change color every fall on one of the most scenic routes in the Natural State - the great Arkansas Highway 23.
2. Attended a Razorbacks Game in Fayetteville or Little Rock
Whether you've gone to Razorback Stadium, Baum Stadium, War Memorial Stadium, or Bud Walton Arena to cheer on the Hogs you can't say you're a true native until you've been to a Razorbacks basketball, football, or baseball game!
1. Gone Swimmin' (or Fishin')
Arkansas natives know the unique feel of the water in a cool creek on a hot summer day and cherish the memories made on the sandy banks of Arkansas beaches. Fishing is also a popular activity with Natural State natives as well.
