When you think of Arkansas, what comes to mind? Usually if you ask an out-of-towner he or she will tell you a few things that’s been said about the Natural State. What is it that people think of when they are asked about their opinion of Arkansas? Some of the things said are pretty familiar and some may be a little surprising.
The Natural State is a veritable paradise for sportsmen and their canine or family companions, known throughout the country for its popular deer season and duck season every fall and winter.
A West Point valedictorian and Rhodes scholar, Gen. Wesley Clark retired from the Army in 2000 after serving as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe during the war in Kosovo. He is nationally notable in his run for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination, dropping out after losing early primaries.

The outspoken author and political figure served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. Huckabee was a candidate in the 2008 and 2016 United States Republican presidential primaries.
