Little Rock is known for many things (like mouthwatering BBQ) but its stunning trails usually aren’t the first thing that come to mind. One of these, Rock Creek Trail is quite the underrated gem. Let’s take a stroll around this gorgeous trail hidden in the middle of the city.
A quiet oasis is hiding in the alley behind the strip mall of Bowman Curve II.
The full trail is an easy 3.2 miles and family-friendly (four-legged family members included). Walking, running, and biking are all welcomed along the trail. The trail isn't lit so we do recommend taking your stroll mid-morning or in the afternoon.
Especially once you've reached the boardwalks through the mini bayous. With how developed the state's capitol is, it's easy to forget Little Rock used to be mostly swampland.
Bridges, bayous, and boardwalks make this trail something special.
Little Rock has endless attractions and must-visits but this trail is one of our favorite city secrets.
