Eureka Springs is home to many unique lodgings from Hobbit holes to pods but the Peal Tatman House is one of our favorites for it’s rich history. This colorful Victorian home belonged to one of the most influential people of 20th century Eureka Springs. Let’s peruse the house and learn more about the original owner.
This darling house is one of quiet B&B's located within Eureka Springs.
The house sits on Spring Street, one of the nation's most picturesque streets, so you know you're in for a treat. Renting the B&B is more than just checking out a room. At the Pearl Tatman House you and your guests get reign of the entire house.
The charming house is like a time capsule set apart from the rest of the world.
All of Eureka Springs has its own timeless charm but the Pearl Tatman House has strong ties to its original owner as well. The house originally belonged to Dr. Pearl Tatman - Arkansas' first female doctor! "Doc Pearl" is thought to still be watching over the house as a benevolent spirit.
The house has three bedrooms that can accommodate up to six guests. You'll need to leave your four-legged friends at home and any non-fur children need to be at least 7 years old. For your stay you can book different breakfast packages to be delivered to the door or whip up your own recipes in the full kitchen.

It'll be doctor's orders to soak in the Jacuzzi after a long day of exploring the town.
The Jacuzzi is located down in the "cold room." Dr. Pearl had this room built into the West Mountain behind the house for some after work revitalizing. The room is lined with limestone that's over a hundred years old!
Sit for a spell on one of the house's delightful verandas.
The polished porch overlooks Spring Street as well as Dr. Pearl's peaceful koi pond. You won't find one spot at this house (inside or out) that doesn't relax you from the tourist town's bustle! What's even better is that renting this entire house costs about the same as a room from a typical B&B. Rates are $200/night for two guests and can be booked right here.
