Leatherwood Cabin is anything but your typical off-the-grid shack. The Buffalo National River area has no shortage of cabin getaways but today’s feature is one of the most unique! This solar-powered lodge will recharge you in the most luxurious way so let’s step inside and learn more:
Perfectly located in the middle of nowhere, the Leatherwood Cabin is an enchanting off-the-grid retreat.
The 2,500-sq. ft. lodge was built in 2017 by award-winning architect, Chad Young. The spacious cabin can easily sleep up to 18 guests! Keep this as a couples retreat with your friends or have a full family getaway.
Staying off the grid doesn't mean you need to sacrifice any amenities when you're at Leatherwood.
All of the lodge's modern conveniences are solar powered, including the fully equipped kitchen. Stay refreshed with heating/air, washer/dryer, and waterfall-force showers. The lodge also has RV hookups to ease the rest of your Buffalo River adventures!

The four-bed, three-bath getaway can easily accommodate you and an entire entourage.
Within this mini mansion you'll find four private rooms in addition to a cozy sleeping loft. Saw logs on one of the four queen beds, two twin beds, two sets of bunk beds, or two pull-out couches. With this many beds you could also consider making the state's largest pillow fort instead.
Take your cup of coffee to enjoy on the second-level deck. The beauty of the Ozark Mountains never ceases and you'll have a front row seat of the forest view!
Although you'll never want to leave, there's plenty of adventures to be had around the property.
The 100 privately-owned acres include prime fishing along Big Creek, a guest-only trail, 350-ft. bluffs, and even caves to explore. The cabin may have a two night minimum but you'll want a whole week to play in this pristine Buffalo county.
Whether you book this season or wait until we defrost, Leatherwood Cabin will instantly become your new favorite getaway.
Six to eighteen guests can stay two or more nights at the lodge for $55/person per night. Unfortunately any four-legged friends will need to stay at home. For more details and to make your reservations, head to the lodge's website. You can also follow their Facebook Page.
