As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
If you didn’t know it yet, Ponca is undoubtedly the most gorgeous area in the world (we may be a bit bias). Boxley Historic District, the Buffalo National River, the town, and endless waterfall trails make this area worth staying a weekend or longer. Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging offers a variety of options for your overnight stay. Have plenty of time to explore the trails and river after picking one!
Whether it's for a quick supply run or an overnight stay, a visit to Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging is a necessity when exploring the Upper Buffalo.
The general store and glamping provider is less than a mile north of the Boxley Valley Historic District in Ponca. Boat rentals, gas, groceries, outdoor supplies, trail information, and shuttle rides are all offered at this historic general store (which has been around since 1923)!
You'll definitely want to stay a couple of nights to explore this beautiful area. Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging has plenty of options to keep you comfortable, like the Hillside Cabin.
Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging has three cabins including the cottage-style one, a yurt, bunkhouse, and even a campground! The Hillside and Whitaker are classic cabin lodgings complete with outdoor hot tub. Both are pet friendly

The cozy cottage-style cabin will give you a new home away from home.
Adds Creek Cottage Cabin is perfectly cozy for a couple's getaway. All of the cabins here have a full kitchen and hot showers for an hassle-free recharge (which is especially helpful after paddling the Buffalo all day). The cottage has a beautiful backyard view of the creek, which you can take in while soaking in the hot tub.
The cabins are lovely but for a more unique glamping experience try the yurt!
The Treehouse Yurt sits on a raised platform and (like a true treehouse) is built around a tree! The yurt can comfortable sleep four and has a kitchenette for early morning coffee on the deck. Keep in mind the yurt is not pet friendly because of its treehouse style.
Whichever one you choose, Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging will warmly accommodate your next Ponca excursion.
You can learn more about the outfitters and book your stay by visiting their website right here. You can also follow their Facebook Page.
