The Gorgeous Lakeside Trail In Arkansas That Leads To Abandoned Ruins And A Waterfall
Arkansas has plenty of waterfall trails, trails with bridges, and trails that lead to abandoned ruins but finding one with all three is quite a unique hike. Lake Alma Trail is one of these rather unexpected gems. Not only does it have a gorgeous lake but a waterfall, ruins, and bridges are also along the trail.

Although, the lake is pretty nice on its own. Have a picnic, fish for a while, or play a round of disc golf at Lake Alma. For more information on the lake and the location of the trail, visit the city's website.

The hike is a 3.8-mile loop and has plenty of sights to see. The trail does cross some streams so be sure to use caution with younger ones. Overall, Lake Alma Trail is a perfect for a small adventure.

This is what's left of an old settler home site. You'll want to get closer to the ruins to see the well-preserved bricked fireplace.

In addition to interesting rock formations, the trail also comes to a gorgeous waterfall with a bit of a silly name. This is the McWater Falls.
