From chocolate gravy to possum pies, Arkansas has some sweet staples. Another sweet treat tradition in the state is the chocolate roll. There’s nowhere better to indulge in a roll than at the Chocolate Roll Capital of the World, which of course is right here in Arkansas. It may not be difficult to find chocolate rolls in the capital, but there’s one place in the area that has some stand-out rolls. It also happens to be the oldest drive-in in the state.
Chocolate rolls are a delicious Arkansas tradition.
Kenda Drive-In is Arkansas' oldest drive-in theatre. They originally opened in 1966. Although the drive-in has been updated to digital, you can still use the old-school speaker boxes for a wave of nostalgia.
Kenda offers more than just soda and popcorn at the concessions.
Although it's not hard to find chocolate rolls in Marshall, the rolls at Kenda are a must-try. Their buttery dough and chocolatey goodness paired with a vintage date night make them something special.
There's no better way to support Arkansas' oldest drive-in than ordering a chocolate roll or two and watching a movie on the big screen.
Kenda-Drive is located at 107 Westwood Dr., Marshall, AR 72650.
