Thank you for an awesome year, Arkansas! The year 2015 has been incredibly kind to Only In Your State, and the feedback has been wonderful. The photography shared via our Facebook page and via e-mail makes the site all the more amazing–and it’s time now to display the best of the best when it comes to photos that you’ve posted and sent us of the Natural State. Enjoy the views, the scenery, and we wish you all the happiness, blessings, and prosperity that 2016 has to offer!
This shot of Beaverfork Lake makes us excited for another spring and summer season ahead out by the water. Thanks to Elizabeth Thill for sharing this great photo!
A very special thanks to Sharon Wilson for sharing this excellent shot of a sunset over the mountain valley. The sun peeking through the clouds is especially nice.
We really appreciate all the great photo submissions from Sherri Pierce Rice this year! This photo of Bragg Lake near Camden was also shared earlier this year, and it's pretty enough to have a second look.
Joe Clem shared this brilliant picture of Sager Creek in Siloam Springs. It's nice to remember that Siloam Springs has such natural beauty in addition to being a growing and popular Arkansas town.
Jerry Segraves said back in September "In another couple weeks, the hummingbirds will be moving south, but they've sure enjoyed our Pineapple Sage!" We hope you get another great photo of them next year too, Jerry!
Much appreciation, Looknfishy! Your awesome nature shots around Arkansas have been a highlight of the year. This photograph, taken while kayaking at Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge in Crossett, gives you a sense of being on the water along with the photographer. Nice!
The premise behind this photo is absolutely cool. Per the photographer: "I have been working on this image for awhile taken back on Oct 28 2015. this is a composite of 200 images with basically each leaf you see falling a seperate image stacked, aligned, and the background masked out except for the leaf. The image was made over a 15 min time span as I waited for a leaf to fall out of the tree..." The result is a phenomenal picture!
Josue Enriquez (facebook.com/josueenriquez) has really inspired me with his photography this year. This photograph of Stout's Point at Petit Jean State Park is another fine example of his excellent work. Much thanks to you Josh, and please keep sending the shots in 2016!
Just thinking about 2016 and all the cool and amazing photography that’s going to be shared is exciting. We absolutely can’t wait to see what you’ve got to show us, Arkansas. We want to see it all; so send all of the scenic, the mysterious, and even the most humorous of pictures taken around the Natural State you can take!
