There’s really no better place to enjoy your summer than in Arkansas. From lazy floats along the river to beaches with white sand, the Natural State can certainly provide a fun adventure for anyone on vacation. In addition to the gorgeous places to stay, our state also has plenty of summer activities to keep the family busy as well. Today’s featured event is the perfect way to celebrate the season. Let’s all scream for this upcoming ice cream festival!
Eating Yarnell ice cream is just as much an Arkansas tradition as calling the hogs.
Yarnell's Razorback flavors make it easy to do both! The sweet business began in Searcy back in 1932. Today the company serves six southern states with the original formula created by Ray Yarnell.
The upcoming farmers market in Bentonville will be even sweeter than usual.
Free samples will be given out at the Yarnell concession trailer until noon (or until supplies run out). The normal activities of the farmers market will also be going on so you'll be able to listen to live music and peruse all of the local vendors as well.
Four competitions will be happening at the ice cream fest; two for adults and two for children. The goal will be to eat as much ice cream as possible in five minutes.
If you can tough out the brain freezes you could win big!
Besides having well-earned bragging rights, the winner will also receive a whole year's worth supply of ice cream. There's really no better way to enjoy summer than with endless ice cream sandwiches, cakes, and cones!
This is one sweet way to cool off during this hot July in Arkansas!
