As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
The Hiker Hut is a tucked away cabin that’s not only pleasantly located in the middle-of-nowhere but the middle-of-adventure as well. Take respite from your 9-5 by discovering the trails surrounding this little hideout in the forest. Let’s reconnect with nature and take a peek inside this peaceful retreat.
The Hiker Hut is such a great escape for anyone needing to recharge.
Whether you're drained from the holidays or just need a break from the routine, this little piece of paradise will quickly melt away your stress. The Hiker Hut is north of Mountain View between Allison and Mt. Olive within the Ozark National Forest.
The cabin is perfectly situated to take you away from the hustle and bustle without leaving you stranded.
The cabin is secluded, quiet, and surrounded by greenery. That said, you're just a short drive away from civilization. Jojo's Catfish Wharf on the White River is about a five minute drive and the return to Mountain View is less than 20.
In addition to the instant reconnect with nature, the hut has a way of inspiring your inner wanderlust. Notes of nature adorn every room as well as modern amenities.

Of course the biggest element of this hiker-themed hut is the chance to hike!
Hikers, bikers, waterfall chasers, and even spelunkers can find a new trail to love near the cabin. Bikers are only a few steps away from the EPIC (as rated from the National Mountain Biking Association) Syllamo Trail system. Livingston Creek provides ample fishing and water activities for families as well. And don't forget Blanchard Springs Caverns are in this area too!
After taking a nearby trail or two, find even more R&R in the hut.
The cabin can sleep up to five guests and is welcoming of kids and dogs (with an added pet fee). Although the retreat is certainly family friendly we prefer it as a romantic getaway.
Keep in mind rates do change seasonally for the cabin but are typically around $97-130. For all the details and to book a stay head right here.
