J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
It has come time to recognize that Arkansans are some of the luckiest people on the planet. We live in the Natural State, and no state in the union has a more appropriate nickname. Living here comes with the privilege of having little slices of heaven sprinkled all over our state. One of those slices of heaven is Mount Nebo State Park, and there’s no better time to visit than when the leaves are at peak color and the campfire is as cozy as it gets.
You’ll find Mount Nebo State Park at 16728 State Highway 155 in Dardanelle. Directions are here.
