This is the William Kirsch Preserve, which is part of the Ranch North Woods. The 234-acre area contains just under two miles of the Little Maumelle River, our focus for today. The woods are located next to Pinnacle Mountain State Park.

This relaxing paddle through the wetlands is just minutes from downtown Little Rock. The oasis was originally suppose to be used for housing development but was donated to the Nature Conservancy In Arkansas in 2014. The nature retreat is perfect for a day time float or even a longer visit.
