Arkansas’ summer is hotter than ever, which means Arkansans are on the hunt for spots to cool off and have fun. Fairfield Bay has everything you could want for an outdoor getaway. A fascinating cave, gorgeous mountain, and huge lake make this a great trip in the Natural State. Let’s see just how many activities we can fit into a trip to this picture perfect waterfront town.
Fairfield Bay is a picture perfect town for a summer vacation.
The Sugar Loaf National Nature Trail can only be reached by taking a boat to the mountain. The trail is a moderate 1.6 miles and the mountaintop view is spectacular. For more details on the trail, read our full article right here.
The Indian Hills Golf Resort also offers a new hybrid game of soccer and golf called Foot Golf. You'll find a mini golf course with playground for smaller guests, too.
Near the Indian Hill Golf course is a short and sweet cave trail.
The family friendly ¾-mile-long trail Indian Rock House Trail leads to a cave used by Native Americans over 4,000 years ago. The cave was also a stopping point for Henry De Soto during the 1500s.
If you decide to stay more than one day, you're in luck! Fairfield Bay has a ton of cabins, campsites, and lodges.
