  • The Boston Mountains Scenic Loop – Incredible mountain views with some of the most amazing overlooks in the state.  
  • The Bayou Bartholomew/Rohwer Memorial Loop – A 113-mile loop around the longest bayou in the United States.

If you decide to do the epic Arkansas dragon trail scenic drive, you’ll definitely want to make some stops along the way to really, truly experience it. Some of the best places to stop along the way while conquering the killer Arkansas dragon tail are:  

  • The Buffalo National River – This might be Arkansas’s best-kept secret. Not too many people know about the exquisitely beautiful Buffalo National River, but they ought to.  
  • Lost Valley State Park – one of 52 absolutely amazing state parks in Arkansas that is 100 percent worthy of a spot on the old bucket list.  
  • Harrison Square – The Boone County Courthouse alone was built back in 1911 and this whole historic town square is a delight.
