You may have already ventured to the playground, den, backbone, or even bathtub but there’s still one more devilishly gorgeous place to visit in Arkansas. Hiking down to Devil’s Canyon is a heck of a hike but the views are downright heavenly. Let’s take on the challenge and see what eye-candy treasures await.
This lush forest is part of the Devil's Canyon Scenic Area.
Although the scenery of the canyon is gorgeous, the hike is certainly not the easiest. The trail is only 2.6-miles long but the bit of bushwhacking and dramatic changes in elevation create an arduous trek. We recommend leaving the kids at home for this one.
It is a heck of a hike but the Devil's Canyon landscape is simply grand.
The waterfalls along this trail are what keep people from accepting the challenge. Devil's Canyon Falls (63-ft.) and the Devil’s Canyon Junior Falls (16-ft.) are the two featured falls on the trail but there's still plenty more to see.

But wait - there's even more waterfalls to chase in this area!
Devil’s Canyon Falls and Devil’s Canyon Junior are the two named falls but there's plenty of other cascades to capture as well. The photos of the deep turquoise water are stunning but still don't quite capture the mesmerizing setting in person.
This slice of paradise has plenty of places to take a break and just reconnect with nature. Before heading out to this trail we highly recommend researching the area further. Head to AllTrails for a very helpful GPS map of the hike.
