She loves exploring the trails around the Buffalo National River and has yet to find a waterfall that wasn't her favorite.
If you’d like to relax with a calm cruise around the lake, look no further than DeGray Lake Resort State Park. The park has the very best views at sunset. Whether you’re taking your family for one last summer vacation or need a quick couples retreat, these sunset cruises are a wonderful addition to your lakeside adventure.
Arkansas' favorite resort state park (also the only resort state park but still our favorite) has everything you could ever need for a fun vacation.
These sunset cruises are routinely offered throughout summer and early fall. The next set of cruises will be this weekend from August 8th - 5th, 2019 from 7-8:15 pm. Cruises are only $12 for adults and $6 for ages 6-12 (younger is free).

These relaxing cruises will delight all of your senses.
Just imagine the sound of the waves, the fresh scent off the water, and seeing the silhouettes of the passing shoreline under a golden light. Pictures are nice but nothing quite does this tour justice more than taking one for yourself. The cruise will tour you by fascinating rock formations and small islands scattered around the lake.
DeGray Lake is home to a plethora of critters both above and below the water. Look at the shoreline for the most activity; the lake has a strong population of bald eagles!
But wait! DeGray isn't the only place to take a sunset cruise.
Lake Ouachita is another state park that routinely offers these lovely sunset cruises. To plan your trip, use this page of the Arkansas State Parks' website to see a list of the upcoming cruises.
Wherever you decide to cruise, you can be guaranteed to have a relaxing and recharging little tour.
The lakes supply endless forms of fun but nothing quite beats the calmness and beauty of a sunset cruise.
Have you taken one of these sunset cruises before? We’d love to hear about your experience! Feel free to share your photos in our Facebook Group, Arkansas Nature Lovers. You should join for your chance to be featured and to discover why there’s nothing better than Arkansas’ stunning nature.
Another way to enjoy the view is by taking this cool sunset kayak tour in the city.
