Arkansas is fortunate to have so many delicious steakhouses. It’d be impossible to go hungry with our dry aged steaks, round steak, and tasty steaks served in a gorgeously rustic cabin. There’s one place that has perfected a steak we didn’t even know we needed. The Chopping Block Steakhouse in Mena has simply the best chicken fried sirloins. Let’s bring our appetites and head to this delicious eatery.
The Chopping Block Steakhouse is the tastiest gem in Mena.
Between its small town charm and mouthwatering food, this steakhouse will make any carnivore's dreams come true. Have a bite at 1156 US-71, Mena, AR 71953. They're open from Tues - Sat 10:30 am - 9 pm.
The Chopping Block Steakhouse began as a small butcher shop 50 years ago.
The butcher's and deli was originally ran by James and Pat Bates. The little shop evolved into the beloved Chopping Block Steakhouse in 1989. Today the restaurant is owned by the Bates' daughter Sherri and her husband, William Rainey. You may be familiar with Rainey's stunning nature photography; in fact, his work is frequently featured on our Facebook Page!
Sirloin, ribeye, filet mignon, prime rib, and New York strip are all on the menu but there's another entree that we're especially fond of - the chicken fried steak. This isn't your typical cheap cut of round steak either, the Raineys use sirloin in theirs to add a new twist to a classic.
