Dine On A Smorgasbord Of German Cuisine At Burg der Gustropub, Northwest Arkansas' First German Gastropub
The options for eateries and breweries may be overwhelming in Northwest Arkansas but Burg der Gustropub needs to be on your feasting list! This delicious affair recently opened in May and has been tantalizing tastebuds ever since. Their smorgasbord of German and southern flavors will have you saying three cheers!

They've found their niche as the first German gastropub in Northwest Arkansas. The restaurant came from a successful collaboration between the Pig & Swig Hospitality Group and the executive chef of Tusk & Trotter, Rob Nelson.

This means you can order your scrumptious food and pair it with an equally tasty fresh beer! You can also order your food curbside or sit outside. The outdoor patio is kid and dog-friendly, too.

The authentic German eats also have a High South flair which means you get unique creations like this one. These are duck wings that have been smoked, battered, fried, and tossed with bacon and a sorghum mustard vinaigrette. They're served in a skillet with pickled veggies and chow-chow.

Our state pride particularly comes out in the Weizenheimer. It is fried green tomatoes, Arkansas ham, smoked gouda, coleslaw, and sorghum mustard served with fries. You had us at fried green tomatoes!

The eatery has partnered with Trash Creamery (which you can drool over the details of that place right here) to create this dazzling dessert. It's a cherry-filled butter cake with Trash Creamery 99 Luftballons Ice Cream. The wonderful mix of flavors include black forest cake, chocolate, caramel, spiced nuts, and (of course) cream.

You can peruse their menu and even make an online order by visiting their website. For daily activity, head over to their Facebook Page.
