As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Everyone needs to leave it all behind sometimes, and luckily, Arizona has no shortage of opportunities to do just that. Red Setter Riverside Retreat is a relaxing cabin getaway nestled in the White Mountains, surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. It offers the perfect amount of seclusion while being close enough to Greer for an evening on the town. No matter what the season, this cozy getaway is the perfect escape.
Tucked away in the charming mountain town of Greer, Red Setter offers an escape from the daily grind no matter what the season.
It's nestled on the banks of the Little Colorado River, which can be heard peacefully ambling along from any of the cabins. Tasteful mountain and woodland decor exude rustic elegance, and private outdoor decks allow guests to immerse themselves in the abundant nature. Pictured here is the Red Setter Lodge, often used for weddings and other events because it sleeps up to 20 people.
In addition to the loft, four standalone cabins offer a more intimate lodging experience.
Ranging in size from 1-3 bedrooms, they sleep between four and six guests each. Amenities include BBQ grills, 46-inch HD televisions, Blu-Ray DVD players, Directv, secure WiFi, and jetted tubs for two in several of the cabins.

The two smallest cabins are studios, so an open concept floor plan helps use the space effectively.
Luxurious king beds, plus an extra queen in the upstairs loft, ensure everyone has enough legroom. A split-level layout in the other two cabins features bedrooms on both levels for added privacy.

If you need something slightly larger than a studio, the "River Tranquility" cabin is the perfect fit.
With two beds and two baths, plus a queen sleeper sofa in the spacious family room, it's ideal for mid-sized groups. "River Serenity" is the largest cabin apart from the lodge. It boasts five bedrooms—two of which are master suites—3.5 baths, and a double outdoor deck. One of the master bathrooms even has a clawfoot tub!
You're free to explore until your heart's content. With access to the best fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing around, boredom isn't even in the realm of possibilities. Horseshoe pits and fire rings allow for endless fun, and there's always something new to discover on a leisurely riverside stroll.
During the fall, the aspens erupt in a dazzling spectacle of golden hues.
Like a scene from a Hallmark movie, the cabins are enveloped in a world of white. Gas up the fireplace, roast some marshmallows over the flames, and watch holiday movies or dive into a good book—pure bliss, as far as we're concerned.
Visit the retreat’s website or Facebook page to learn more about nightly rates for each cabin and/or to make reservations.
