I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!

Just a short trek from the parking area is where you'll find hundreds of dinosaur tracks that were formed during the Jurassic period over 200 million years ago.
Verified by paleontologists, the only thing that can't be determined is exactly what species of dinosaur left these tracks behind. However, these trace fossils are possibly from a carnivorous dinosaur.
The fossilized footprints are found along Hamblin Ridge's bench. When exploring the area, kids and adults alike are completely awestruck by what they see.
The tracks could be left by either a Dilophosaurus, Eubrontes, Grallator, or Coelophysis. After all, fossils of these meat-eating dinosaurs have been found in the area.
When you arrive at the Navajo Moenave Dinosaur Tracks, you'll notice stands with Navajo jewelry and other crafts for sale. And you may be asked if you'd like to take a tour for a fee.
