Alamo Crossing - or what was once Alamo Crossing - is located just three hours northwest of Phoenix. You’d never guess that the lovely Lake Alamo is harboring such a hauntingly fascinating secret. Beneath its ordinary-looking water, a ghost town remains completely untouched.

The town was established sometime in the late 1800s and was small even by ghost town standards. There was a post office and a handful of shops, but not much else. Eventually, residents moved elsewhere and the town was abandoned in 1918.
