If you love pizza, there’s a pizza joint in Seligman that belongs on your bucket list. Aptly named the Pizza Joint, this unassuming eatery is tucked away inside Stagecoach 66 Motel on Historic Route 66. It has some of the best pizza in Arizona, and the atmosphere is so quirky and charming, you’ll never want to leave.
Next time you find yourself driving through Seligman on Historic Route 66, pull over when you see the sign for Stagecoach 66 Motel.
There's a decidedly dive-y feel to the atmosphere, but that's part of the charm. Between the old photographs and vintage memorabilia covering the walls, you'll feel like the Mother Road is still in its heyday.
Mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheeses come standard on all of the pizzas. After that, the sky is the limit in terms of toppings! From meats like Italian sausage and pepperoni to veggies such as artichoke hearts and olives, there are so many ways to build the perfect pie.
Feeling indecisive? Opt for one of the specialty pizzas instead - all of the toppings are already picked out.
"The Seligman" has a little bit of everything, with five meats and several different veggies. Vegetarians will love the "Bad Hunter," while the Sicilian pays homage to the country that started it all.
Pizza might be the main event, per se, but it isn't the whole story.
Hours are 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday.
