One of the best family day trips in Arizona takes you to not one, but two fun-filled attractions. Take a tram ride through hundreds of exotic animals at Out of Africa Wildlife Park, then head next door to soar through the air (and over the animal enclosures!) at Predator Zip Lines. It’s a wild time for all ages!
Nestled in the small town of Camp Verde, Out of Africa Wildlife Park is the ultimate family-friendly day trip destination.
The park houses an impressive array of exotic animals from all over the world, offering several unique attractions that allow you to get up close and personal with the majestic creatures.
Everyone loves the African Bush Safari Tour, which is included with general admission. This 30-minute tram ride takes you into the heart of the park, where you'll brush noses with zebras, giraffes, antelope, and many other resident animals. You'll even get to feed them special treats!
Watch the zookeepers engage with tigers, giant snakes, bears, and other predators in four distinct shows. The whole family will be on the edge of their seats as you eagerly await the animals' next trick.
You can even feed a tiger from just three feet away! This activity takes place at 1:45 p.m. daily, following the Tiger Splash™ show at the Tiger Splash Arena.
Perhaps the neatest part of the whole experience is that you'll be zipping directly over the animals, so you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of some of the park's most beautiful inhabitants.
