Telegraph Pass Trail is a popular 2.3-mile out and back hike at the South Mountain Preserve. This trail gets pretty steep towards the end, so you are in for a real workout. Watch for the Hohokam petroglyphs along the way.

The trailhead is on Chandler Blvd near 19th Ave. If you aren't feeling up to a climb, this trailhead also offers several flat trails where you can enjoy the desert landscape without the leg burn.

Foothills is a links-style course with a beautiful desert landscape that appeals to golfers of all skill levels.
