If you’re in search of a fun way to beat the Arizona heat this summer, don’t look any further than Tucson’s Reid Park Zoo. Every Saturday through August 14, the zoo is hosting an event called “Summer Safari Nights,” which takes you up close and personal with all your favorite animals during the cooler evening temperatures. Complete with food and drinks, activities, and a different theme each week, it’s a wild adventure that’s fun for the whole family.
Taking place every Saturday night through August 14, Summer Safari Nights lets you experience the magic of the zoo by moonlight, long after the hottest part of the day has passed.
Some of the animals will be winding down for the night, but others will have just awakened. It's such a unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of the more elusive nocturnal creatures!

Guests will also enjoy live music, themed activities, and carousel rides.
The final night of the event, August 14, puts the spotlight on elephants, taking visitors up close and personal with some of the zoo's most beloved residents.
The cost is $10.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, and $6.50 for children ages 2-14.
So if you're looking for a fun way to beat the heat this summer (and get acquainted with some seriously adorable animals while you're at it), Reid Park Zoo's Summer Safari Nights is the place to be.
Event hours are 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday nights through August 14.
Visit the Reid Park Zoo website or Facebook page to learn more and/or purchase tickets.
