One of the best winter getaways in Arizona that you could possibly take is to the charming mountain town of Flagstaff. Not only is it the snowiest town in the Grand Canyon State, but it’s also packed with cold weather activities, from skiing to hiking to spending the night in a cozy cabin.

Arizona's very own winter wonderland, Flagstaff is home to the Arizona Snowbowl, a world-class ski destination on the breathtaking San Francisco Peaks.
"The Snowbowl," as it's known to locals, offers a variety of winter sports, from skiing to snowboarding to scenic chairlift rides. There are slopes for all skill levels, and lessons are available for both adults and children.
For a relatively easy hike that will make you think you've stepped into a snow globe, check out the Aspen Nature Lollipop Trail. If you're a very experienced hiker, you can attempt to scale Humphrey's Peak, the highest mountain in Arizona.
Please note that conditions on the mountain can be extremely treacherous in the winter, and specialized gear is required. Also, roads are often impassable, so check with local authorities before planning your trip.
