Less than two miles from the Grand Canyon, Tusayan is tucked away in the lush Kaibab National Forest, making it an absolute dream for nature lovers. Whether you like to hike, bike, camp, or anything in between, this tiny town has it all.
Nestled in the heart of the Kaibab National Forest, Tusayan is situated on a mere 144 acres of land, making it the smallest town in Arizona by area.
Don't let its size fool you, however. Just two miles away from the entrance to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, this tiny town of just over 550 offers boundless adventure.
When you visit Tusayan, you're practically in the backyard of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. This makes it an ideal getaway for anyone who loves exploring all that Arizona's great outdoors has to offer.
Either stay in town or at one of the many campgrounds in the national park. Either way, you'll have miles of trails, unforgettable guided tours, and breathtaking scenic overlooks at your fingertips.
Speaking of trails, the Kaibab National Forest is absolutely brimming with them. Stop by the Tusayan Ranger Station for helpful information such as maps to guide your expeditions.
