Follow the white rabbit down a staircase and through a hidden entrance to 36 Below, a themed bar in Arizona. Like something out of Alice in Wonderland, the bar features a checkered floor, roses on the ceiling, and tons of lush greenery and colorful flowers. The cocktails are equally whimsical – one is even served in a mushroom-shaped glass!
The basement of Sip Coffee & Beer in Phoenix - which used to house the popular Undertow tiki bar - is now 36 Below.
Also, an underground cocktail bar, 36 Below invites guests to leave reality behind and enter a whimsical secret garden. The bar has almost a full five-star writing on Google Reviews, and it's not hard to see why the public loves this spot.
Lush greenery threatens to reclaim the staircase that leads from the coffeehouse down into the bar. You feel as though you're being transported to a completely new world.
The outside world grows more distant with each step you take. By the time you reach the secret entrance, your only care will be discovering what lies beyond it. It's an absolutely magical journey.

With checkered floors, roses on the ceiling, and pops of color from flowers and other vegetation, the bar is like something out of Alice in Wonderland.
We highly recommend going with a cocktail - if for no other reason than the incredibly unique presentation. How adorable is this mushroom-shaped glass? Don't worry, there are mocktails available too for non-alcoholic drinkers to enjoy.
Served in a flower pot with Oreo cookie "soil," this robust cocktail tricks your eyes while treating your taste buds. This goes above and beyond just a bar. It's a true multi-sensory experience.
Cocktail expert Sheldon Wiley handcrafts the drinks using the four elements, seasonal ingredients, and intentional flavor pairings.
Hours are 4 p.m. until 12 a.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 3 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. until 12 a.m. on Sunday. The fabulous cocktail bar is closed on Mondays to give the bartenders a very well-deserved break.
