When she's not out and about dancing with the meanest storms on planet Earth for funsies she can be found wandering, shooting landscapes, writing, editing photos, and otherwise up to no good. Legend has it that she can also be occasionally spotted typing up short bios in the third person, but those rumors are unsubstantiated.
Arizona is often thought of as a desert wasteland that’s too hot, dry, and boring to be visited – especially in the summer. But what if I told you that there are quite literally 128 lakes (and five major rivers) peppered all throughout the state? It’s true – Arizona is actually full of hidden gems, tiny paradises, lush oases, rolling plains, and (almost) any other type of landscape you can think of; of those 128 lakes, only two are natural. Those aren’t the lakes we’re going to focus on today – instead, let’s take a look at Lake Mohave in Arizona (and Nevada – we share). It’s a stunningly beautiful, lesser-known paradise that a surprisingly low number of even native Arizonans know is there. Check it out – it’s one of the most beautiful lakes in Arizona.
For more information about the beautiful Lake Mohave and all the wonderful things you can do, check out the official National Parks Service website. What are your favorite Arizona lakes? Let me know!
