For a state with a landscape that is primarily desert, Arizona has an impressive amount of white sandy beaches that are as close to a tropical paradise as it gets. Rotary Community Park in Lake Havasu City is one such place, with tons of water and land activities for the whole family to enjoy. Go paddleboarding, have a picnic, or take a leisurely stroll on the winding nature paths – there’s no shortage of fun to be had.
The largest public waterfront beach and park in Lake Havasu City, Rotary Community Park spans 40 acres and is easily accessible by boat or vehicle.
Prefer to kick back with your toes in the sand? That's fine, too - just bring some towels, beach chairs, and anything else you need to get cozy and enjoy the day.

If you get tired of being in the water, find your land legs on the lush green grass and shaded walkways that wind through the park.
Other attractions include a skate park, three playgrounds (one specifically for children with special needs), covered picnic areas with tables and barbecue grills, beach volleyball and Bocce ball courts, and more.
It's a quirky city, indeed, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
So if you're craving a tropical getaway but don't want to spend the money on a big trip, do the next best thing and have an Arizona beach day at Rotary Community Park.
