One of the last things you may expect to find in Arizona, is also one of the best surprises you’ll find here: an olive mill. Arizona’s only olive mill is located outside of Queen Creek, and has 7,000 olive trees – and that’s not all. Since opening in 2005, the mill has grown to encompass not only the farm and mill, but also a market and an eatery.
Out back is a grove of topped olive trees creating a dreamy garden in which to meet up with friends.
The market is filled with all sorts of gourmet cooking goodies, so plan to spend some time combing through the selections to find just the right assortment to bring home.
Don't worry if it seems super busy. There is plenty of available seating indoors as well as outside, where you'll have a wonderful view of the olive trees.
Tours are offered daily. During the 45 minute Olive 101 tour you'll learn how to correctly taste olive oil and get to go inside the milling room. Tours are offered every hour from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and are on a first come, first served basis. We recommend getting there at least 30 minutes in advance.
