Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
Prepare to set sail on the culinary adventure of a lifetime. Located in a restored 1970s paddlewheel steamboat, Canyon King Pizzeria is one of the most unique places to dine in Arizona. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but tours of the historic ship are also given to each and every customer. Take a look:
Commissioned in 1972, this historic ship sailed the Colorado River for years before it was converted into a restaurant. Memorabilia can be found all over the boat, from historic plaques to actual artifacts.
Once inside, you'll find it hard to believe this was ever an operational watercraft. Booths and tables are set up just like any ordinary dining establishment.
Additional space in an attached building ensures there's plenty of room to accommodate hungry pizza lovers. Don't worry - even if you don't sit in the ship itself, the owner is more than happy to give every customer a grand tour (and even lets kiddos blow the horn!)
Better pizza is hard to come by anywhere else in the state. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust, every pie that comes out of Canyon King's kitchen is absolutely delicious.
The BBQ Chicken is a house favorite. Topped with caramelized onions, grilled chicken, and roasted garlic, it's a gourmet flavor combination that sends your taste buds on a one-way trip to Flavortown.
More basic options, like a classic Margarita, allow for simple flavors to be appreciated. When baked correctly, just basil, mozzarella, and tomato sauce have complex nuances that shine through in every bite.
