Don’t you just love stumbling upon hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Arizona that are so much better than their exterior would lead you to believe? Falcon Restaurant & Lounge, located along Historic Route 66 in Winslow, is one such place. This no-frills hideaway serves up the best Mexican and American food around, from classic diner breakfasts to mouthwatering chimichangas and everything in between. It’s so worth a stop next time you’re on the Mother Road!
Next time you're out getting your kicks on Route 66, prepare to make a pit stop as soon as you enter the town of Winslow.
The Falcon Restaurant & Lounge is an old-school diner right off the road that serves up delicious Mexican and American classics in a no-frills setting.
As soon as you pull into the parking lot, you'll be instantly whisked back to yesteryear. Time seems to slow down here, and everything is simple - a much better ambiance than white tablecloths and stuffy dress codes, in our humble opinion.
In terms of the food, it's exactly what you would expect from a roadside diner. Breakfast options include all the usual suspects, like pancakes, homemade hash browns, bacon, sausage, and eggs cooked any way you like.
All of the American entrees come with vegetables, your choice of potato, plus buttered bread. The burgers are served with French fries, but you can substitute onion rings, soup, or a salad for $2 more.
If you're in the mood for Mexican food, you'll be delighted to see nearly a dozen dishes to choose from. Fajitas, chimichangas, and combination plates for the indecisive are just a few of the mouthwatering selections. Plus, each meal comes with rice, refried beans, and tortillas!
Visit the restaurant’s Facebook page for more information.
