Short, easy hikes in Sedona, Arizona don’t have to skimp on views, and the Devils Kitchen Trail is proof of that. At less than half a mile long, this quick adventure is the best easy hike near Sedona, AZ to squeeze into a busy day – but it offers scenery that often takes a grueling, several-hour-long trek to behold. Surrounded by red rocks and featuring a massive sinkhole, this little jaunt is a nature lover’s dream.
One of the shortest and easiest hikes in the Sedona area, Devils Kitchen Trail is less than half a mile long.
You wouldn't expect to see numerous natural wonders in such a short distance, but this hike really delivers. Taking an average of about 10 minutes to complete, the trail showcases a myriad of towering red rocks whose peaks appear to touch the sky.
Located within the Coconino National Forest, the trail is basically an abridged version of the 4.5-mile Soldier Pass Trail. It's easy to follow and offers the perfect quick adventure if you want to see some beautiful views without working up too much of a sweat.
The trail is also one of the most painless ways to marvel at Sedona's iconic landscape -- a landscape that attracts tourists from all over the globe. Plus, since it's such a short hike, you'll have plenty of time to stop and soak up the scenery.
Either turn back at the sinkhole and call it a day, or continue along the Soldier Pass Trail to see even more natural wonders, from a series of small, crater-shaped pools to a rock arch.
