I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Ready for some family fun? There are so many places to bring the entire family throughout the Grand Canyon State, and the list keeps growing! I happen to love living in the Phoenix metro area as there are countless options when it comes to taking the kids somewhere. For example, there’s an aquarium, a Medieval Times, and even a Great Wolf Lodge, all within a couple of miles of each other. My kids love these places, and another place we could all spend a day at is The Yard. This family-friendly restaurant in Arizona has something for everyone, and you’ll want to maximize your time here.
If you haven't yet taken the fam to The Yard in Phoenix, you're missing out. With adult beverages, milkshakes, food, and yard games, you could easily spend the better part of a day here with the family.
When you arrive, sit down and order your food and drinks. There are so many awesome choices on the menu that you and the kids are bound to find something tasty. Between the salads and sandwiches and entrees like the 36-Hour Pork Ribs or the Roasted Salmon, you'll have your fill of good food.
There's a kids' menu here as well. If your kids or grandkids love macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers, or crispy shrimp, they're in luck.
The Yard is a fun place for all, so set aside a few hours to experience it. One fun option is the playing ping pong. How about challenging family members to a game?
You can also head outside and have your very own corn hole tournament. Food, drinks, fresh air, and playing games outside with loved ones — sounds like the perfect day to me!
