I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
There are so many fun and exciting things to do around the Grand Canyon State. Between hiking and parks, breweries and wineries, entertainment venues and sports, and, also, festivals, there’s really something here for everyone no matter the age. There are also plenty of theatres, museums, and art galleries for those who love the arts. The town of Fountain Hills hosts its very own art festival twice a year and it’s an exciting event for artists, art collectors, families, and, well, everyone! One long-running festival in Arizona happens to be the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts and it’s one we should all attend.
Fountain Hills is best known for its world-famous fountain that goes off 15 times a day, spewing water into the air upwards of 560 feet. The town is also known for its art scene and has 36 public works of art on display throughout its downtown and in the park surrounding the fountain.
With its support of the arts, it's no wonder why Fountain Hills hosts its very own art festival twice a year. Since 1974, the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts has brought together some of the finest artists and craftspeople around in a juried show.
And with that comes over 150,000 visitors to the area who want to partake in this exciting event, see, and maybe even purchase some new art from one of the many talented artists.
Not only are booths with art and crafts scattered throughout Fountain Hills' downtown but a variety of food vendors and a beer garden. Local restaurants are also open and welcome festival goers.
The Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts is a great way to find a new piece of art, jewelry, pottery, or craft item while supporting talented artists. Join this incredible event in both November and February.
