Even if we travel to the farthest reaches of the Earth, there are just some things we can do and experience right here at home that make life spectacular each and every day in Arizona. Take a look below at some of the fantastic things we get to experience in the Grand Canyon State that make living here a dream come true….
1. A sunrise view of the iconic mittens of Monument Valley - 365 days a year.
Hoards of tourists may have the pleasure to experience this awesome sunrise spectacle on their vacations, but Arizonans can get at this view all year long. And not to brag, but there are at least a million more places to view an Arizona sunrise that are just as pretty.
2. Eat a Sonoran dog (or three) in the only state that makes them as they should be.
Add a nice cup of agua fresca, and then we're officially happy.
3. Slowly savor every bite of delicious Piki Bread made right here in the Grand Canyon State.
Nowhere else on Earth can you get it made right, than straight from a Hopi kitchen.
4. Pop off the highway in Sedona for a quick jolt of renewed energy.
Whether you personally believe in the famous energy vortices of Sedona, or not, scores of people travel from all over the world to get in on this supernatural action we have right here in our own back yard.
5. Stake a claim to the world's oldest rodeo - and mean it.
Sure, they can come from other states to enjoy the world's oldest continuous rodeo (in Payson), but it belongs to Arizona.
6. Experience the gift from Mother Nature known as the Arizona summer monsoon.
No kidding... views like this are an everyday occurrence during the season where Mother Nature blesses the desert with some spectacular weather and outrageous views.
7. Along those same lines...
We have learned to never take one single drop of rain for granted.
8. Our sunrises are intense...
and, regardless of where we may travel outside the state, we'll swear the best morning light is found right here at home.
9. Being home to one of America's most beloved landmarks is a big deal.
And being stewards to help preserve and protect it - is an even bigger deal.
10. Staking a bona fide claim to the oldest Mexican restaurant (and therefore the best) in the U.S.
And... to being the birthplace of the Chimichanga!
Arizona is the best place on Earth to live and raise a family. If you’re a new resident of the Grand Canyon State, then here’s your official Arizona bucket list . Enjoy!
